Encountering the heartbeat of Jesus

Jesus, People and Places is a collaboration in imagination, design, conversation, performance and visual art.

Arising out of the disciplines and discipleship within Titirangi Baptist Church “Faith in Art” collective, this piece of physical worship invites the participants to reflect on the stories of those who encountered Jesus in their places.

The imagined monologues are an invitation into reflection and contemplation as we engage with the texts of Scripture from the realities of life. As they are enacted, they are not simply to be heard for effect; they are to provoke response. This collaboration of text and context, visual and dramatisation, reminds us of our subjective self as our hearts encounter the heartbeat of the image of the invisible God, the “I AM”, Jesus.
