2024-09-14 Marina Pauliukova’s Pop-up Exhibition: "Re-imagining the World"
Marina Pauliukova's artistic journey began amidst the enchanting forests and lakes of her childhood town Zarasai in Lithuania, where she discovered her deep-rooted connection to the natural world. Drawing inspiration from the untouched beauty of the Canary Islands, Marina's exploration of ephemeral art led her to a profound realization — her art was a dialogue with nature itself.
Driven by a desire to highlight the fragility of our environment and the urgent need for conservation, Marina pursued a Master's degree in Environmental Sciences. Her move to New Zealand further fueled her inspiration, and when the world stopped during the pandemic, nature became her sanctuary once more.
"Re-imagining the World" showcases Marina's unique approach to art, where she crafts intricate compositions using real elements from nature. From delicate leaves to vibrant flowers, each artwork invites viewers to lean in and immerse themselves in the mesmerizing details of the natural world.
Through her work, Marina aims to spark a reconnection between humanity and nature. She encourages viewers to pause, observe, and appreciate the wonders that surround us. By exploring nature on a macro scale, Marina invites us to reconsider our relationship with the environment and take small steps towards its preservation.
