Please come to celebrate the opening of the solo exhibition Interference by Marcus Capes.

Marcus Capes, a Titirangi-based Artist, has been making artworks, predominantly 'paintings' for over 25 years, NZ based for the past 17 years. He has previously been a finalist in the Waikato National Contemporary Art Awards and the COCA art awards but has spent the past few years focusing on family and a career in the Gallery/Museum sector.

 Interference is an exhibition of new works that attempt to develop long-term interests within painting with regard to the context of our immediate world. By creating images that physically question our notions of perception, the artist is interested in the way we receive our imagery/information from the world around us.
