Anna Leyland is a contemporary New Zealand artist (full-time since 2012). Utilising pattern making and symbolism, her works are a contemporary conversation about Aotearoa and the beauty of multiculturalism, which is so prevalent in the 'Land of the Long White Cloud'.
She has successfully exhibited in over 30 exhibitions since 2001. In the last 2 years, Anna has completed commissions for the International Company 'Nespresso' and locally, the 'Auckland City Council' and one of the top Network providers; 'Orcon'. She also has two ‘Artist Series’ with ‘Mr Vintage’; a well-known New Zealand T-shirt company. Most recently her work has been picked up by the International company BBBYO in New York, to adorn their Eco-Conscious drink bottles.
In the last 18 months, Anna's work has featured in the New Zealand Herald’s 'VIVA' several times. Articles and Interviews about her work have also appeared on well-known New Zealand Design websites including Remix, Denizen and Idealog.
In February 2016, Anna was invited to exhibit in Melbourne to participate in the famous ‘White Night’. Subsequently her show was listed as one of the top '5' shows to see on the night. Most recently she held her 3rd Solo Show at Allpress Studio in Auckland which was a huge success and featured in Auckland’s Paperboy as a ‘must-see’ show!
Anna’s work features in 15 galleries throughout New Zealand and has a strong national following. Presently she is working towards a 4th solo show in 2018 and moving her work further Internationally.
